A.C.T.I.O.N. - Adult Community and Transition Independent Options Now

About A.C.T.I.O.N.A.C.T.I.O.N. prepares students to become independent community members, display work readiness skills, and independent living skills.  The programs accepts students between the ages of 18-22 years old.  The curriculum addresses 5 domains: Vocational, Functional Academics, Social/Emotional, Domestic, and Community.  Part of curriculum also includes travel training and community based instruction.  The A.C.T.I.O.N. Program is currently at March Valley High School. A.C.T.I.O.N. students are certificate of completion moderate/severe students who have completed four years of high school.

GoalsStudents will have opportunities to

  • Learn about different careers and job readiness
  • Work in different job environments to gain work experience skills
  • Students will be given opportunities to explore the community to gain greater independence and life skills
