On Tuesday, Sept. 19, the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board of Education held a Special Closed Session Board Meeting and appointed Dr. Robert Verdi as interim superintendent.

At the regular board meeting for the Moreno Valley Unified School District, Tuesday, Sept. 12, Eduardo Corona and Christian Johnson were sworn in as student board members for the board of education.

Moreno Valley Unified School District has three schools that earned honors as “Best” high schools in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best High Schools rankings, which were published Aug. 29:

The U.S. Department of Education officially recognized the Moreno Valley Unified School District at a ceremony on Aug. 8 in Washington, D.C. as a 2023 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Awardee.

The Moreno Valley Unified School District has been designated a "Best Community for Music Education'' by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation, one of 830 school districts in the nation.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced Moreno Valley Unified School District as one of five districts to earn a California Green Ribbon Schools award.

Twice a year, we survey our families, students and staff regarding school culture and safety. The School Culture and Safety Survey is an important tool to see how well we are doing. This will allow us to better support our families, students and staff.
The Moreno Valley Unified School District held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, November 29 to celebrate the arrival of thirty-eight buses and completion of charging infrastructure.
